Additionally, the 4,400 square-foot restaurant could help bring in more sales tax revenue while Campbell fixes a nearly $4 million shortfall. Read that number against the current storefront count and the thesis is straightforward: downtown Campbell has been actively closing gaps, and residents are the ones who get the payoff in walkable dinner options.

A few blocks worth knowing about this summer:

Elia, the Mediterranean group's fourth Bay Area kitchen, took over the former Opa! space. Elia, a Mediterranean restaurant specializing in Greek cuisine, is getting ready to open a new location in Campbell at 276 E. Campbell Avenue. The company's fourth location is set to move into the former home of Opa!, which closed in fall 2025 following bankruptcy. Guests can expect Elia's signature Mediterranean menu featuring shareable mezethes, seafood dishes, and a full brunch service on weekends.
Il Sogno, from the team behind Vin Santo, is the newer Italian option and shares a footprint with Campbell Brewing Company, which makes it a rare downtown spot where the wine list and the beer list came from the same lease.
Boiler Maker is the reboot of the old Liquid Bread Gastropub in the same location, so if you had a favorite booth there, it is worth another look.
FLIGHTS continues to serve its tapas-style flights of three preparations per dish, useful when a group cannot agree on one order.
The Vesper has drawn regional attention as one of the South Bay's more talked-about newer bars, which is worth knowing if you are the person friends ask for a downtown recommendation.

July is a civic holiday here

Campbell treats National Park and Recreation Month less as a footnote and more as a full slate. The event mix is more interesting than the name suggests, and most of it is free.

Adults-only night at the Campbell Historical Museum. Step into history after hours at the Campbell Historical Museum for a fun, adults-only evening of discovery and creativity. Enjoy hands-on activities, explore fascinating artifacts up close, test your knowledge with local trivia, and create a craft to take home—all while sipping wine and enjoying light bites.

Museum + Ainsley House combo day. Enjoy complimentary admission to both the Campbell Historical Museum and the Ainsley House, where you can explore hands-on exhibits, discover local stories, and tour a beautifully preserved historic home. Pop-Up Art Gallery at Heritage Theatre, July 22. Visit the Heritage Theatre for a Pop-Up Art Gallery in the lobby featuring artwork by theatre volunteers, staff, and Campbell members. The theatre will also be open for public viewing during the event. Stop by to explore the space and enjoy a selection of local artwork.
